My SummerTime in July!

Hello, hello!

Summer Time! Ok, this weather is not my favorite, but it has been raining and I've enjoyed it so much that 2 times I arrived as "chicken soup" and I needed in really because I catching the flu (although I insist on the theory that the ice cream was an accomplice of the rain). Anyway, a doctor's visit, a few days off, and lemon tea with honey worked wonderfully.

 

At least the World War Z movie gave me hope in my moments before the flu that I would survive a zombie attack! Oh yeah! Ok, maybe not, but one can imagine. I liked the movie very good and landscapes zombielypse ( zombie + apocalypse) are so great!

 

After that I had to get used to the idea that it not could go as a good zombie infecting people and I take a few days off and recover. So , I spend watching movies at house, Tootsie of 1982 was first,I saw that classic film! Dustin Hoffman in a great role and although the film was made and filed before I was born, The movie handles a situation that can be taken now. If you have not seen it, Renting it or Buy it. Well Worth.

 

Another movie I saw was Volver of Pedro Almodóvar, this is my second movie I've seen from this director, the truth is that this tragic-comedy made me laugh, the scene in which the mother of the protagonists is on the luggage carrier car LOL!. It was my favorite scene.

 

A few days later I started to feel less zombie and more human ... And my schedule told me I had a scheduled trip bound for a book called Identified: The Maya Price Story by Faith A. Rice-Mills. It was quite interesting with relaxing touches, from another dimension and I enjoyed it very much. If you want to know more about this trip gives click here! Unfortunately I could not stay longer, but I followed all the activity of the Tour ( click here if you want to see who was behind this book) had to make another trip. Although I hope to come back soon and visit

Burdened: The Maya Price Story, Book 2.

 

My other trip was the book: The Witch Hunter by Nicole R. Taylor. Vampires, witches, who could ask for more?

 I really wanted to read it and was not disappointed. In fact, he waited to read the second part soon. And the third part that soon will be released. Oh yes, I am Team Aya and Zac! If you want to know the synopsis of this book gives click here.

 

 After these incredible journeys, I return to take a summer break, I visited the exhibition Visions of India, is beautiful but you have to take your time to see in detail some pieces on display. My favorite room of the exhibition was that of the story of Leyli y Majnun:The unfortunate lovers, has a sad ending but flashes some beauty and poetry of love.

 

For these last moments of July,Maybe, I listen to Coldplay in the playlist. I took a deep breath, and with a cup of tea, I give the welcome the next month, August.

Synopsis:

     Maya Price is a typical eighteen-year-old girl without much going on in her life. Her biggest problems include getting ready to leave her hometown for college, figuring out how to avoid her ever-so-strange stepmother, and trying to muddle through her feelings for her best friend, Pete. Yet, on one of her last nights in her hometown, she and Pete are in a car accident. A stranger pulls Maya from the accident, leaving Pete behind, and takes her out of this world and into another dimension.

Maya soon discovers that she has been taken to a dimension called Leets by a group of people that call themselves shifters. Shifters are of mixed human and onyx blood and have various abilities.  These shifters are able to travel between dimensions and control the four elements (fire, earth, wind, water) and the five senses (sight, sound, smell, touch and taste). Their leader, Victoria, informs Maya that she, too, is a shifter and that she must choose to join them or risk being sought out by their greatest enemy, a shifter named Leonas.

Maya joins Victoria and her ragtag group of rebel shifters in Leets, where she is teamed up with a group of seven other shifters. Her new "teammates" include a street-smart girl named Luz, who is especially adept at controlling fire, her twin sister Espy, and a nervous boy named Lamar, who can manipulate sound better than any other shifter. Together, Maya’s team trains for the battle that will soon be  inevitable.

However, Maya soon learns that her purpose is not to just move the earth or send water flying into the air. There are rumors of a hidden prophecy and that the prophecy mentions Maya by name. Supposedly, the prophecy says that Maya will one day have to choose a side and will be essential in bringing her chosen ally to power...

Dear Reader:

This book was a big surprise to me, is a beautiful gem waiting to be discovered by readers.

I was interested, amused, intrigued, annoyed (a little), funny, I found myself laughing and with constant desire to explore this story, the story of Maya Price, the story of Leets and the story of characters around her. How to describe it in a word? WAO!

Faith A. Rice-Mills created a beautiful story, with values ​​and unique characters. Dimensions, love, family, friendship, danger, companionship, control the elements and the senses, the meaning of identity,shifters, the antagonist in history and a prophecy, , each element has a purpose that gradually discovering, surprisingly help the fact of the format that is designed, in the end of a chapter you can find a letter, a diary of life or an extra data (so to speak) of the story of the characters that accompanying to Maya on his journey , this binds very well with the main story and will further your desire of want continue reading. Any of the characters can be your favorite, each has a feature with which you can identifying, my favorite characters are Nathaliel,I can only say that certain chapter of him is my favorite! and Paige,Her power is incredible but intimidating, it's great!. Luz and Espy, the twins have something in common with me: the language , ¡speak Spanish! Fue agradable ver un poco en español-->.It was nice to see a little in Spanish! And yes, I felt identified when Maya learns languages​​ (Remembering my English class....)

At the last page, this taste left me:¡¡ I want to read more!! You left me with lots of questions and answers at once!

Faith A. Rice-Mills I look forward the second part of the story of Maya Price! :-).

PS: I can not decide yet between manipulate fire or earth,

        but ,catch the sound, could be interesting.

Sinopsis:

Maya Price es una típica chica de dieciocho años de edad, sin mucho que hacer en su vida. Sus principales problemas son su próxima salida de su ciudad natal para ir a la Universidad, encontrar la manera de evitar  siempre a su extraña madrastra, y tratar de salir del paso con sus sentimientos hacia su mejor amigo, Pete. Sin embargo, en una de sus últimas noches en su ciudad natal, ella y Pete tienen un accidente de coche. Un extraño saca a Maya del accidente, dejando detrás a Pete,  llevándola fuera de este mundo y adentrandola a otra dimensión.

Pronto Maya  descubrirá que ha sido llevada a una dimensión llamada Leets, por un grupo de personas que se llaman a sí mismos cambia formas. Los Shifters son una mezcla de sangre humana y sangre ónix  y tienen diferentes capacidades. Estas palancas son capaces de viajar entre las dimensiones y controlar los cuatro elementos (fuego, tierra, viento, agua) y los cinco sentidos (vista, oído, olfato, tacto y gusto). Su líder, Victoria, informa a Maya que ella  también  es una palanca de cambios y que deberá optar por unirse a ellos o arriesgarse a ser buscada por su mayor enemigo, un palanca de cambios llamado Leonas.

Maya se une a Victoria y a su grupito de cambiadores rebeldes en Leets, donde se asociara con un grupo de otros siete cambiaformas. Sus nuevos "compañeros de equipo" incluyen una chica inteligente salida de la calle llamada Luz, que es especialmente hábil en el control de incendios, su hermana gemela Espy, y un niño muy nervioso llamado Lamar, quien puede manipular el sonido mejor que cualquier otro  shifter. En conjunto, el equipo de Maya entrenara para la batalla que pronto será inevitable.

Sin embargo, Maya aprenderá pronto que su propósito no es sólo mover la tierra o enviar el agua volando por el aire. Querido Lector:

Este libro fue una gran sorpresa para mí, es una hermosa joya esperando ser descubierta por los lectores.

Yo estaba interesada, divertida, cautivada, molesta ( un poquito), intrigada, me encontré riendo y con constante deseo de explorar esta historia, la historia de Maya Price, de Leets y la historia de los personajes que la rodean. ¿Comó describirlo en una palabra? WAO!

Faith A. Rice-Mills creó una hermosa historia, con valores y personajes únicos. Dimensiones,  amor,  familia, amistad, peligro, compañerismo, el control de los elementos y de los sentidos, el significado de identidad, palancas de cambio, el antagonista de la historia y una profecía, cada elemento tiene un propósito que descubrir poco a poco,  cada elemento tiene un fin que descubrirás poco a poco, sorprendentemente ayuda el hecho del formato en el que esta diseñado, ya que al final de un capitulo puedes encontrar una carta, una parte del diario de vida o un dato extra (por asi decirlo) de la historia de los personajes que acompañan a Maya en su travesía, esto se va enlazando muy bien con la historia principal y promoverá su deseo de querer seguir leyendo. Cualquiera de los personajes puede ser tu favorito, cada uno tiene una función con la que te puedes identificar, mis personajes favoritos son Nathaliel, sólo puedo decir que cierto capítulo de él es mi favorito! y Paige, su poder es increíble, pero intimidante, es genial! Luz y Espy, las gemelas tienen algo en común conmigo: el idioma, ¡hablan Español! Fue agradable ver un poco en español-->.It was nice to see a little in Spanish! Y sí, me sentí identificada cuando Maya aprende idiomas (Recordando  mi clase de Inglés ....)

En la última página, me dejó este sabor de: ¡¡Quieroleer más! Me dejaste con un montón de preguntas y respuestas a la vez! Faith A. Rice-Mills espero la segunda parte de la historia de Maya Price! :).

PD:  No puedo decidir aún entre manipular el fuego o la tierra,

           pero, captura el sonido, podría ser interesante.

           Por mi parte, Mi Puntuación  es de 5 estrellas de menta .
